Design of Coded Slotted ALOHA With Interference Cancellation Errors

چکیده

Coded Slotted ALOHA (CSA) is a random access scheme based on the application of packet erasure correcting codes to transmitted packets and use successive interference cancellation at receiver. CSA has been widely studied common assumption that can always be applied perfectly. In this paper, we study design protocol, accounting for non-zero probability error due imperfect (IC). A classical method evaluate performance such protocols density evolution, originating from coding theory, adapt our assumptions. Analyzing convergence evolution in asymptotic conditions, derive optimal parameters CSA, i.e., set code selection probabilities users maximizes channel load. new parameter introduced model loss rate system, which potential IC errors. Multi-packet reception (MPR) 2-MPR are also studied. We investigate trade-off between load rate, sheds light distributions outperform known ones. Finally, show analytical results consistent with simulations obtained finite number slots.

Maximum Sum Rate of Slotted Aloha with Successive Interference Cancellation

This is a sequel of our previous work [8] on characterization of maximum sum rate of slotted Aloha networks. By extending the analysis to incorporate the capacity-achieving receiver structure, Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC), this paper aims to identify the rate loss due to random access. Specifically, two representative SIC receivers are considered, i.e, ordered SIC where packets ar...

Decentralized Power Control for Slotted Spread Spectrum Aloha with Successive Interference Cancellation

In this paper, we study slotted Spread Spectrum Aloha with Successive Interference Cancelation at the receiver over a Gaussian channel. We consider a decentralized power control setting in which each user chooses its transmit power independently at random according to a power distribution with continuous support. In this setting, we derive an analytical expression for the expected interference ...

Interference and SINR coverage in spatial non-slotted Aloha networks

In this paper we propose two analytically tractable stochastic-geometric models of interference in adhoc networks using pure (non-slotted) Aloha as the medium access. In contrast the slotted model, the interference in pure Aloha may vary during the transmission of a tagged packet. We develop closed form expressions for the Laplace transform of the empirical average of the interference experienc...

Bit-Wise Decoders for Coded Modulation and Broadcast Coded Slotted ALOHA

This thesis deals with two aspects of wireless communications. The first aspect is about efficient point-to-point data transmission. To achieve high spectral efficiency, coded modulation, which is a concatenation of higher order modulation with error-correcting coding, is used. Bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) is a pragmatic approach to coded modulation, where soft information on encoded...

Stability of slotted ALOHA with spatial diversity

We consider the problem of stability of slotted ALOHA for a system consisting of N users communicating with a common receiver, which employs spatial diversity to receive multiple transmissions simultaneuosly. We introduce a general packet reception model to incorporate multiple packet receptions since the collision channel model is no longer valid in such a scenario. We characterize the stabili...
